CIPS Qualifications

CIPS qualifications are available from Level 2 Certificate through to Level 6 Professional Diploma and MCIPS status, meaning that you can complete your entire training journey with ABA Procurement.
It is our priority to ensure that all students begin at a level matches their need and ability, and we're always happy to spend time offering guidance in this.

CIPS Study Options

All levels can be studied via Classroom, Online, or One to One leanring, and we offer Level 3 and 4 as an apprenticeship via our Norwich and Colchester study centres. ABA offer an exceptional level of guided tutor support at all levels of CIPS qualifications to help our students achieve their potential.

CIPS LEVEL 3 Advanced Certificate

CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate

This is an entry level for to help you to prepare for a career in Procurement and Supply or to get an introduction into the field.

Learn how to apply factual, procedural and theoretical knowledge of procurement and supply. You will be able to completes tasks and address problems that are well-defined but may be complex and non-routine. You will understand what relevant information is required and how to interpret and review its effectiveness.

CIPS Level 4 DIploma

This is the highest entry point to your CIPS study and requires a minimum of at least two A-levels (or equivalent) or a minimum of two years' experience in a business environment. Students at this level will usually be in positions such as: Buyer, Contract officer, or Procurement specialist.

You will learn about making procurement and supply happen within an organisation, and you will be equipped with an essential range of knowledge and tools that you can apply immediately in your workplace. Learn how to apply practical, theoretical and technical knowledge, gain a clear understanding of procurement and supply and develop the ability to address complex, non-routine problems.

 

CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma

Advanced Diploma students must have completed the Diploma level. Typical job titles at this level are: Buyer, Contract officer, Procurement Specialist.

Building on the practical knowledge and understanding gained at CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply you will develop a higher level of practical, theoretical and technical knowledge and understanding of procurement and supply. Your learning will focus on how to deal with key aspects of risk in supply chains and mitigation of those risks; processing and evaluating contracts and the impact of legal implications when contracts are breached.

CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma

Level 6 students must have completed the Level 5 before continuing to this level. Job titles at this level may include: Procurement Manager, Supply chain manager, Operations manager.

Building on Level 5 you will demonstrate strategic knowledge and leadership skills and find solutions to complex problems. This level develops transferable skills such as excellent communication and the ability to work in and lead a team. Employers have identified that the ability to think strategically and lead and influence policy and thinking are essential for progression. You will gain an understanding of different perspectives and theories and will be able to critically analyse, interpret and evaluate complex information, concepts and ideas.
