Meet the ABA Team

The ABA team is dedicated to the development of business professionals, achieved through our pedigree of Procurement and Sales development. Training is led by a team of dedicated tutors who have all been actively involved in commerce and business disciplines, delivering results in the public and private sectors. Our team has been brought together to provide our students and clients with one of the best levels of support available across the United Kingdom, and all of out members are dedicated to ‘Developing Procurement People of Tomorrow’.

ABA Procurement’s tutors have been carefully selected to ensure their extensive experience in all aspects of procurement with backgrounds in Law, Manufacturing, Publishing, Retail, and Public Sector. They therefore have practical experience of the subject matter as well as having delivered effective results in business.

  • David Pratt FCIPS, FISMM Managing Director

    David is ABA Procurement’s Director and Owner.

    He has over 40 years’ experience in procurement and sales. His practical experience as expanded from manufacturing to consultancy and developing best practice approaches for international clients.

    David tutors in all levels of CIPS qualifications across our centres in England, Scotland, and Wales. He also provides our in-company training.


  • Lu Hales-Greer BA (Hons), PGCE Programme Coordinator

    Lu is a Programme Coordinator for ABA Procurement.

    Point of contact for: Blended Learning Students, Blended Learning Enquiries, General Enquiries, Contract Support, and Finances.

    In this role, she coordinates three areas of ABA: Marketing, Student Engagement, and Administration. She heads up our social media presence, develops student engagement strategies, runs the ABA website, and works on growing our CSR commitments.

    Lu is the first point of contact for all of the students studying with ABA Procurement.


  • Evie de Belgeonne BA (Hons) Office Administrator

    Evie is the Office Administrator for ABA Procurement.

    Point of contact for: Distance Learning Students, Distance Learning Enquiries, General Enquiries.

    In this role she manages the office, student, and tutor admin including diary and venue coordination, exam bookings, and assisting with enquiries.

    Evie works Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at ABA.

  • Craig Lardner, FCIPS Lead Mentor

    Craig is the ABA Mentoring Programme’s Mentor for the Mentor team.

    He attends and leads seminars for our biannual mentoring events, as well as being on hand to supply resources and advise to ABA’s mentors.

    Based in Australia, Craig is a past CIPS Global President and currently sits on the Board of Management.

    He is committed to developing procurement talent globally.

  • David Wright FHEA, MCIPS, MSc, BA Consultant Tutor

    David is one of ABA’s consultant tutors.

    He has a broad experience and proven commercial track record within a wide range of procurement environments. Based in Thetford, David teaches in our Norwich, Cambridge, and Cardiff centres.

    He is experienced in teaching all levels of CIPS qualifications, and has been a CIPS Examiner/Assessor for the last ten years.

  • Martin Higginson BSc. PG (Cert) Ed. Consultant Tutor

    Martin is one of our consultant tutors in Norwich and Cambridge.

    Martin teaches all levels of CIPS qualifications, and has experience of managing the CIPS programme previously run at West Suffolk College. He brings a great energy to his teaching, and receives consistently excellent feedback.



  • Alan Oxenbury BA(Hon), FCIPS, Cert (NEBOSH) Consultant Tutor

    Alan is a consultant tutor working predominantly in our Cardiff centre.

    Alan is a procurement professional, with significant experience in Procurement & Contract Management across the utilities and public sector. Whilst teaching most CIPS modules in Cardiff, he also guest lectures his specialist subjects in our Norwich centre.



  • Pat Elliot LL.B, MPhil (Psyc.), PGCHE, ACIPS, Consultant Tutor

    Pat Elliot is a consultant tutor in out Scottish centres.

    She brings a vast range of knowledge and experience to ABA Procurement’s training programme. As a fully qualified barrister, Pat has considerable experience as an educator for legal and contractual subjects.

    Pat teaches all CIPS qualification levels. Naturally, her specialist subject is Legal Aspects of Procurement and Supply for the Professional level.

  • Fraser Pass BA, MSc Consultant Tutor

    Fraser is one of ABA’s consultant tutors.

    He has a wide experience of systems, training and organisational development within both public and utility sector procurement environments.   In his forty plus years experience Fraser has worked in stores administration, purchasing, contract administration and project management.

    Fraser is an excellent mentor for students having managed numerous procurement graduate training programmes and modern apprentice schemes in Scotland.

    Fraser teaches CIPS at our Scottish centres in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Dorothy Cowie, BA (Hons), MCIPS, MBA Consultant Tutor

    Dorothy works as a consultant tutor across out Scottish centres.

    She is a procurement professional with considerable experience  gained in the utilities and public sector. Dorothy brings a wealth of practical procurement experience with a specific insight in to public procurement.

    She teaches all CIPS levels and is an excellent role model for all students developing in their careers.

  • Gordon Neill, MCIPS Consultant Tutor

    Gordon is a consultant tutor based in Scotland.

    He has a wide range of procurement experience, particularly in Central Government and IT Procurement for the Public Sector.

    Gordon currently teaches the Diploma level of CIPS qualifications.

  • Steve Johnson FCIPS, FCILT, MSc Consultant Tutor

    Steve is a consultant tutor for ABA in Scotland, and is based in Aberdeen.

    He has has over 25 years of experience within Procurement & Supply Chain Management at an Operational, Academic, and Managerial level. Twenty of those years were spent in the Oil & Gas industry across a mix of Operator, Service Company, SME, and Industry bodies.

    Steve teaches all levels of CIPS qualifications.
