ABA Team

The ABA team is made up of a combination of tutors and staff from all over the UK and a wide range of backgrounds.

We pride ourselves on teaching which focuses on improving student ability and guiding them in applying their learning to the workplace, not just in passing exams.

Evie de belgeonne

Evie owns and runs ABA focusing particularly on student and employer engagement, timetable planning and student coordination.
Evie manages all of the ABA Distance Learners all across the globe.

Specialism: Pre-exam pep talks

Evie Facts: enjoys running, loves a challenge, and can eat all the cheese.

Lu Hales-Greer

Lu started at ABA as an Admin Assistant when she left a career in teaching, and has since progressed to owning and running the company.
Lu’s focus is on the education and quality areas of ABA through the creation and improvement of teaching and learning resources as well as tutor training and pastoral care.

Specialisms: Exam and Essay Writing technique

Lu Facts: Lu is a published author, Regional Editor of The Reviews Hub, and is a Tai Chi and Kung Fu Black Belt.

Alan Oxenbury

Lead CIPS Level 5 and 6 tutor, Alan is a past CIPS examiner and delivers CIPS training courses at levels 4, 5 and 6 as well as non-accredited courses.

Specialisms: Supplier Selection, Contract Management, Contract Law, Procurement Governance, Specification Writing, Contract and Supply Risk Management

Alan Fact: Alan still owns every incarnation of music player from a wind up gramophone player to a CD player.

Bethia Seager

Beth is an ABA graduate, who after leading a procurement team of a speciality chemical manufacturer launched into consultancy to bring good procurement practice and cost reduction methods to more clients.

Beth is our Lead Distance Learning Tutor.
Specialisms: Procurement in Manufacturing and saving money in highly regulated environment

Beth Facts: she’s usually listening to Taylor Swift, and it occasionally creeps into classes.

Jim Goodhead

Jim is a Chartered Engineer as well as a Procurement Professional. He has vast procurement experience, together with professional leadership, change management and acumen will add value to every procurement and supply chain situation.

Jim is also an Apprenticeship End Point Assessment Coach.

Specialism: Procurement in Private sector, and SRM

Martin Higginson

Martin has taught Procurement and Business Management for over 10 years for a wide range of courses and qualifications. Coming from an education background, Martin focuses on guiding students through the course and techniques for applying their new skills.

Specialisms: Leadership and Management

Martin Facts: Martin is a keen skier, is a licenced sommelier, and was actually Evie’s geography teacher way back in 2005!

Paula Jarvis

Paula is a graduate of ABA Procurement and a Senior Category Manager for NHS Shared Business Services.
Paula specialises in Public Sector procurement, having worked in the industry for over a decade, and brings a wealth of knowledge to this area.

Tim Young

Tim is a graduate of ABA with over 10 years of procurement experience in both the public and private sectors.

Tim is a huge advocate of the CIPS qualification, and likes to use real life examples when teaching and challenges students to apply techniques they learn in their workplaces.

Specialisms: SRM and looking for ways to add value, beyond compliance and cost

Tim Facts: Tim sings in an Iron Maiden cover band.
