David Pratt

FCIPS, FISMM

David is ABA's Director and Owner.

David is the CIPS Programme Director, tutoring at all levels of the qualification. His practical experience of over forty years was developed in a variety of environments including, Oil & Gas, Food, Retail, Manufacturing, Mining, and the Public Sector where he has held a range of senior and advisory roles.

David is a Fellow of CIPS and a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM). He is also a guest lecturer at Lahore University of Managerial Science (LUMS), and GTA University Centre (Guernsey).

In his spare time, David loves diving and underwater photography.

Office Administrator

In this role she manages the office, student, and tutor administration. Evie is our main Point of Contact for Distance learning students and coordinates to day to day business administration.

Outside of ABA, Evie enjoys spending time with her partner and young children, and loves to bake!

Lu

Hales-Greer

BA (Hons), PGCE

Operations Manager

Lu is based in our Norwich head office, when she runs ABA’s operations focusing on client engagement, contract management, teaching standards and business development.

Outside of ABA, Lu is an author and painter. When she’s not in the office she can usually be found covered in paint and working on her next story.

Office Administrator

Siobhan assists in running the office, as well as with student and tutor administration. This includes diary and venue coordination, exam bookings, and assisting with enquiries.

Outside of ABA, Siobhan runs her own Etsy business.

David Wright FHEA MCIPS, MSc, BA

Based in Thetford, David teaches in our Norwich, Cambridge, and Cardiff centres. He has been a member of CIPS for over 35 years, teaching at all level for the past thirty;  he is also CIPS Examiner/Assessor. 

David holds an MSc in Entrepreneurial Studies from Stirling University and is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

In his spare time, David is a Ceramic Artist, as well as enjoying writing novels and plays. He is also building himself a holiday home in Portugal.

 

Jim Goodhead, FCIPS, MSc, BA (Hons)

Jim has worked across many sectors during his 25 years in procurement and supply chain management. During this time he has gained experience in many areas and projects including: running a large multi-site team, cost reduction programs, strategic procurement transformation, risk management, and managing stakeholders.

Jim has written articles in the procurement press about global supply chains and relationship management, and contributes monthly to the Purchasing Managers Index. For the last three years Jim has set up his own Consultancy practice, working with FTSE 250 companies to SME across the UK and internationally. 

He teaches in all of our centres in the East.

Martin Higginson BSC (Hons), PGCE

Martin’s specialism is in Procurement and Business Skills. His business experience was gained in the media industry working for a range of publications including Saes development and training.

Before changing careers to become an independent business trainer, Martin was the Course Leader for the CIPS Professional Qualifications, BA Hons Professional Studies and Course Director for BTEC Level 3 Business at an East Anglian College and CIPS Centre of Excellence.

Martin teaches in Norwich and Cambridge at all CIPS levels. Outside of teaching, Martin runs the Suffolk Wine Academy.

 

Mark Fisher MCIPS

Mark has worked in the procurement world for 18 years, the majority of which being within various parts of the public sector. He is himself a product of ABA Procurement attaining his MCIPs status through the academy.

Mark currently runs the procurement department for a leading district council in the East of England. When he is not occupied with procurement he can be found discovering new flavours of Gin or spending time with his family exploring new board games.

Mark teaches in all our centres in the East.

Carl Singleton MCIPS, BA (Hons), PGCE, FHEA

Carl has fifteen years experience as a procurement professional with a number of multinational companies including Corus (now Tata Steel), Bosch and GE. 

After deciding to change career a few years ago, he now lectures at University of Wales Trinity St. Davids teaching BSc. Logistics and Supply Chain Management and CILT programmes.   His specialisms are in Procurement Strategy and Supplier Relationship Management. 

In his spare time, Carl is a keen triathlete, he has completed four Ironmans and this year will compete for Great Britain at the European Long Distance Triathlon Championships.

 

Alan Oxenbury BA (Hons), FCIPS

Alan is a procurement professional, with significant experience in Procurement & Contract Management across the utilities and public sector. His practical experience provides a depth of knowledge assisting students with their learning at all levels of CIPS  qualifications. He is an Assessor and Study Centre Auditor, giving him a wider view of the qualification process.

Alan teaches a range of subjects, and is always in high demand to teach Supply Chain Diligence at Professional Diploma level. Alan teaches mostly at our Cardiff and guest lectures in East Anglia.
